Townhouse in the city with 2 Italian Greyhounds
Hi all - These two little Italian Greyhound boys will be much happier to stay in their own home so we'd like someone to come and share the house with them while we are away. They don't need walking or bathing, but they do need cuddles and company.
Our Home & Location
We live in Red Hill Brisbane. It's 5k from the centre of the city and 50 minutes from a beach. We live in a two bedroom two bathroom town house and there is a car available if you need one. There is a courtyard that will require a bit of watering but no other maintenance required. The dogs have the run of the house and can access inside and outside via a pet door in the security screen. The house is secure and is part of a lovely private leafy green complex. Plenty of visitor parking.
Responsibilities & Pets
For long stay sits: Number one is to look after Harvey and Balki and number two would be to water the courtyard garden once a week. The boys will need to be fed twice a day. They are quite happy to lounge around the house and while a walk is welcome it is not necessary. These are dogs that love company and they will want to sit beside you on the lounge and are happy to sleep with you in the bed. We've had sitters who prefer the dogs sleep on the lounge and this okay too, but they usually curl up with us. They wont need bathing or medication or anything like that. But in winter they will need to have their jackets put on in the morning and taken off if they are sleeping under the blankets with you :-). They love wearing their jackets and run up to have them put on. That's about it. Italian greyhounds are low maintenance in lots of ways but they do expect to be cuddled and they love human contact.
For a weekend sit: Nothing to do except feed and cuddle Harvey and Balki. If you can stay Friday and Saturday night that would be ideal and we'd prefer that they are not left alone for more than about 6 hours at a stretch. Still plenty of time to explore Red Hill or head out for dinner/theatre/movies.
