Palm Cove cat and puppy
Hi, Robert and I have been retired for ten years, we bought and spent two years sailing our catamaran up the Queensland coast and through the Witsundays -amazing experience. We then bought a caravan and spent two years travelling around Australia. We have since been travelling overseas and now believe that we are ready to spend more time at home to enjoy a puppy as well as our cat. However, we already have a small amount of travel booked..... and looking for someone special to mind our babies.
Our Home & Location
Our townhouse is one of four and we are lucky to live within 100m of beautiful Palm Cove beach, where we love to sit in the shade of a palm tree and read a book or even to share a bottle of wine nearing sunset. We are also within walking distance of Palm Cove's many lovely restaurants and cafes. There is a lovely pool on our property, with a BBQ,
Responsibilities & Pets
Our puppy, Carmen, will be just 9 months old when we plan to spend over three weeks away in January 2019. At this point she wants to chew everything and is almost house trained (we use a fake grass mat). We hope that she will be better trained by January! Patience is a virtue! Our 3 year old cat, Calico, has the traits of a Siamese cat and is shy and aloof. She is very easy to look after. Being an indoor cat she has her litter tray, which requires sifting two or three times a day. For Carmen we use an absorbent mat under the training grass. This absorbent mat needs replacing every day and the grass mat needs hosing every 2 days. They are both fed morning and night with wet and dry food. There is a car available for emergencies.
