Lazy Ranch requires caring house and pet sitter
We have been happily married for 4 years have 8 children between us whom all live a good distance from us, we love our home which is currently having alterations on the outside and will be completed before house/pet sitting is required, we love our animals dearly and find it difficult to go away for more than a few days. We have a wedding we truly would love to attend and thought we would open our home for a house pet sitter.
Our Home & Location
Don and I have moved from NSW to Queensland just over 6 months ago and bought a beautiful old Queenslander nestled on 21 acres, which will have a beautiful veranda all the way around shortly, we have the comfort of air conditioning, Internet, great phone reception, wonderful scenic views and we have plenty of water consisting of rain and bore which are both drinkable and a permanent creek. The bird life here is amazing, and at the right time of year there are multiple breeds of butterflies due to the exotic types of trees surrounding the house, along with numerous fruit trees, vegetable garden we live in a small friendly town only minutes away, which has a medical centre, petrol service station which sells small groceries, and another corner store where you can have takeaway, there is a police station, post office, mechanical services, pub, restaurant, art gallery, small museum, council chambers along with beautiful scenery and history. Half hour drive to next town Gin Gin which has IGA, newsagent, club, veterinarian, hairdressers, beauty nail salon, massages, hospital, doctors, bakery, butchers, chemist, cafes etc and if you wish to travel another half hour on from Gin Gin you have the beautiful Bundaberg city which has everything. We think our home lazy ranch is a perfect place to come and relax, the sitter will need a car to travel to town etc.
Responsibilities & Pets
We would like all love and care for our multiple animals, which include feeding, watering, playing and spoiling, our home is to be kept clean and tidy as you would your own. If you wish you can do pottering around in gardens or go for a walk on our 21 acres which has a permanent creek at the edge of property. Our pet cow sheep and goat love to have a pat when near bye. We have set up easy maintenance with the poultry, our Jack Russell’s sleep outside in there kennels they all wear a boundary collar so they stay within the house yard, they have permanent dried food set up to eat whenever, they love there treats which is given in the evening. Our beautiful cats live inside/outside and have the same set up as dogs, Our 2 Bourke parrots just need clean water and feed as required and a little chat. We have a 1 pet cow, 1 goat, 3 sheep that loves a pat if near house yard, they will only need there water trough checked to ensure it’s full. We breed rare poultry, and would require there feed to be topped up as needed, water checked, and the eggs collected.
