Looking for caring house sitter to look after our two awesome dogs & house
My partner and I are both professionals who like to get away as often as possible. We are looking for honest, trustworthy house sitters who will take care of our home and two dogs just the way we do, to walk them, feed them and spend time with them.
We emigrated from London, UK to Brisbane, QLD in 2009 and have established ourselves very well, now with 2 awesome dogs, Trixie & Lucy, which we treat like our children.
Our Home & Location
Our house is a comfortable, high-set home located in the quiet, convenient suburb of Springwood, QLD. Located within easy reach of the M1 Pacific Motorway, 20 minutes South of Brisbane CBD and 40 minutes North of the Gold Coast. The house has been recently renovated and has off-street parking, pool and BBQ area, 3 bedrooms, open plan living, kitchen, dining, one bathroom and a seperate toilet (no ensuite), Netflix, Foxtel, WiFi (NBN). The house is within walking distance of major supermarkets shopping centre,, restaurants, cafe's and fast food outlets. There is a bus stop 2 minutes walk from the house with direct routes to Brisbane CBD and Springwood Bus Station. Springwood is a quiet, leafy neighbourhood with a conservation park very close-by, offering bush walks, parks and open spaces.
Responsibilities & Pets
Trixie is a Poodle X Cairn Terrier (5kg), and Lucy is a Kelpie X Rottweiler (30kg). On weekdays both dogs have a 15-20 minute walk in the mornings (sometime between 6-10am), and a 30+ minute walk in the evening (between 5-7pm). We generally walk them on-leash around the neighbourhood during the week and take them on longer trips to the dog park or the beach at the weekends, where they can run off-leash. The dogs are both fed when they return from their daily walks (twice per day). Both dogs sleep in the bedroom, with us, in their own beds. They are both very affectionate and love to be around people and enjoy lots of cuddles. Both are well trained and understand basic commands, however Lucy can be a bit of a handful at times. During the daytime when we are at work, Lucy stays outside- she has her own doghouse and bed under shelter, and Trixie can come in or go out as she pleases through a cat flap in the back screen door.
