Christmas house and pet sit
Hi we are a couple in our sixties who work from home. Kev is a retired TAFE teacher and I work from home as a part time hairdresser! We love our home and are keen gardeners. We also love to travel but hate leaving our beloved pet Yogi as he is used to having us home. We have had wonderful experiences doing house swaps and been very fortunate with previous house sitters.

Our Home & Location
We have a very comfortable 3 bedroom older style house with living area and 2 of the bedrooms are air conditioned. Yogi spends most of his time in the aircon on hot days. There is a peaceful undercover sitting area surrounded by beautiful gardens and two ponds on half an acre but there is no access for a caravan. We have recently renovated and put in a lovely big kitchen, so if you love to cook as I do you will enjoy the kitchen. The main bedroom has a reclining orthopaedic king size bed and the two bedrooms have queen beds. We are only half an hours drive from Bribie Island and the beautiful Sunshine Coast. Morayfield shopping centre and Morayfield rail station( access to Brisbane City) are a 5 minute drive. Where we are located is quiet and away from the the hustle and bustle of traffic. The Bruce Highway is about a 10 minute drive but the Sunshine Coast is accessible via the Beerburrum Road which is a lovely drive.
Responsibilities & Pets
Our love of our life is a Shar Pei dog called Yogi. He is a rescue pet and needs eye drops applied twice a day but is a very good boy when applying the drops. He is a very nervous boy during storms and needs to be with someone during a storm. Yogi needs a 15 min walk morning and afternoon but is a lounge lizard once he has had a walk! There is a park two doors down with a shaded wooded area that he loves to walk. We would prefer someone who is a bit of a homebody as Yogi is used to having company.
Our main concern is someone who is very pet orientated and will not mind watering pot plants and some parts of the garden. Most of the garden is on automatic timers but as it will be during the summer whilst we are away some small parts of the garden will require watering. The goldfish in the back pond would require a daily feed but could be done every second day. The pond does require a top up once a week!
