Cozy flat with two kitties
I’ve been living in St Kilda for almost 20 years. After ten years in the building, the neighbours are more like family. The local community reminds me of Southern California where I grew up.
A five minute walk gets you to the local shopping strip that includes cafes, restaurants, bars and a library. There are three trams and a train. The beach is a 30 minute walk or ten minutes on the tram. Chapel St (shopping and eating precinct) is even less; and the city is five stops on the train....
I enjoy going to the movies (30 minute walk or 2 train stops), travelling and cooking with friends. I work for the state government, and volunteer with various local community organisations. + More info
Our Home & Location
The comfortable, bright flat is one of nine. It's on the ground floor with two bedrooms (double and king single), one large bathroom (toilet and shower) and a large eat in kitchen. The couch in the living room is perfect for napping, and the dining room sits six or eight in a pinch. There is a car space (if you have one) and a very small balcony. There is internal laundry, a dishwasher, ceiling fans, hydronic heating and double glaze windows. TV has Netflix and Stan; wifi works throughout the flat.
Responsibilities & Pets
The house has minimal needs; just collecting the mail and watering a few plants.
The cats get dry food twice a day with fresh water. Now and then they get a treat. Kitty litter is scooped multiple times a day and changed every fortnight....
Coney and Melon are sisters, they’ve been together from the beginning; they seem to spend as much time together as apart.
Both cats are very loving once they get to know you. Initially they are shy and favour hiding under a bed. Stimulation improves their moods so I’ve introduced some activities: before each meal I toss kibble around the kitchen and they chase and eat, then they eat the balance from their bowls; after breakfast I brush them (they love this!); and after dinner we play games. + More info
