House sitting and care for elderly dog
I am a single nurse living by myself in Bridgewater . I have been invited to a wedding in Scotland so have taken this opportunity to visit my sister in the UK and do a bit of travelling . I have an eleven year old dog called Chloe that has been my constant companion for may years - I am planning on being away for approx. five and a half weeks which is the longest I have ever been away from her before . I live in a three bedroom house on approx. half an acre ( I have regular man that comes and does the lawns) . The house is mid renovation but very livable ( the kitchen cabinets just don't have doors yet ) I have functional laundry with dryer and clothes horse as well as outside clothes line . I have a cleaning lady that comes in once a fortnight to go vac / floors and to clean kitchen / bathroom - I will be willing to have her come while I am away if needed . I live just down the street form the Loddon River which has some very nice walking trails ranging form short walks to the rapids to a 7k walk into Inglewood . Bridgewater is a small town approximately half an hour out of Bendigo , there is a post office, bakery , mechanic , and pub in town . I usually do all my grocery shopping in Bendigo but there is a IGA in Inglewood for shopping if needed . I have never arranged for a dog / house sitter before and have never been away from Chloe for an extended period of time so this is very big for me . I am looking to away during winter so there will be lots of wood for the fire ( I also have a split system and heater in bedroom) . The house is not a mansion but comfortable and secure . I will give you access to both my Netflix and Stan accounts ( as will be cold and miserable outside in June / July .
Our Home & Location
Bridgewater on Loddon is on the Loddon river - we have water skiing in summer , local wineries , goldfields area . Public transport is woeful as there is only two VLine buses a day so having car / transport is essential .
Responsibilities & Pets
The main responsibility will be to look after the house and Chloe ( daily walk to the rive - she is old so she usually just meanders around . She sometimes goes for a swim near to caravan end of the river . Feeding her daily and looking after her welfare ( give her lots of love ) . She usually sleeps with me but this is not expected and she does have a dog bed . Just a waring Chloe has a habit of barking at the tv especially when there are animals on - she barks at the next door neighbours dogs . She is fantastic on the lead and travels well in the car ( I have always taken her everywhere with me ). She sleeps a lot now and I will be more stressed about being away from her than I think she will be not having me around .
