Jack @ Oscar
Hi there, I'm Miranda divorced for 3 years just turned 50 so I'm off to see the world !!!!
Our Home & Location
The Boys and I live in the heart of Brunswick which is 7.4 km away from the centre city.
We live in a blue stone house with the bustling Sydney Road at one end and famous Lygon Street at the other, so if you want good food, cheap food, pubs, wine bars, live music, farmers markets you name it, its just walking distance away....
There are Trams on both Lygon and Sydney road less than a five minute walk either way with the stops directly at the end of the street and a pub on each corner for your land mark home !
Its a 10 minute walk to the local train station.
Barlkey Square AKA Sparkley Bear is on the corner of my street and Sydney Road which has both the major supermarkets, green grocers, butchers everything you need.
If you prefer to collect your own grains, nuts ect in reusable bags there is a shop for that a few doors up from the organic shop where you can get everything you need and even hang out on the couch for a chat.T
he boys favourite walk is a 1/2 hour walk away and another fav is 10 minutes away.
There are bike and walking parks galore that go everywhere!
Its about a 40 minute walk to the zoo for example.
The Merri Creek trail is beautiful and the boys love it!
Brunswick is a great area with things going on everynight ...... If you love trivia nights, bingo ,salsa lessons, belly dancing lessons its all on sydney Road along with the best late night kebabs you will ever eat!
Or one tram ride will stop you right outside the museum and library so whatever you want to experience on your visit to Melbourne Brunswick is the best place to start.
We are an incrediblely muti cultural and loving suburb and you can feel at ease no matter what you look like and who you are (as long as your only agenda is love and peace). No matter what age you are if you like going out you will always meet new friends.
Or just going to one of the many restaurants with a book its all easy.
Brunswick is the best !! + More info
Responsibilities & Pets
Jack and Oscar are working dogs so they have a 2/3 hour walk and play at Royal park which is 1/2 to walk to in the morning. There you can meet up with my friend Sue and her 3 dogs along with many others to chat with and learn the ins and outs of the boys!
They are easy and good on the lead....
Then in the afternoon we meet up at Princess Park to play again for another hour or so. That is a 10 minute walk.
We have a great backyard but the boys are spoilt and inside dogs.......so be prepared to make room on the bed !!
They are completely ball obsessed but no balls in the house!
The boys are healthy and live off a diet of dry food which is always out for them to munch on and a cook up of kangaroo and rice for dinner usually.
Ok now personalities ! Also not a constant but you need to know everything !
Oscar watches the tv and loves to go crazy...Barking and jumping up at the tv when he sees any other animal so this of course invites Jack who then like to join in so remember to always keep the remote close by to change the channel for a minute !!! Feel free to try and retrain them from doing this !!
Jack likes to watch Oscar while he eats and wants to swap bowels all the time which can cause brotherly fighting....they can get loud but never hurt each other, pull them apart and give a telling off.....Again any tips you know feel free to use them.
They do like to bark and carry on sometimes when they see other dogs out walking on the lead, just pull them in and they will stop.
Jack can have issues with puppies big and small when he is having his ball time so alway warn the owner and move my boys away or ask them to make sure they have their puppy in control. (sure its a puppy!)
The boys do like to meet and greet some dogs when at the park by running full speed towards them which can be a bit daunting for the owners if they are new to the park.
Of course non of this will will probably happen as they a great with everyone else when looked after !
We have our dog park friends that have known the boys for 3 years so you are in good hands there.
Both boys love their cuddles and love to give kisses.
Jack thinks he is the boss but is the biggest softy and has to sit next to you on the couch every time for cuddles.
Jack also likes to sleep under the blankets when its cold.
They will follow you into the toilet to make sure you don't fall in !
Both boys love a good massage as they will sometimes overwork themselves being working dogs so if one of them starts limping and there are no obvious reasons a massage works a great treat.
I have most likely made the boys sound a little scary and hard work but they defiantly NOT they are beautiful loving and are well behaved 99.9999 per cent of the time! + More info
