An experienced, confident pet sitter for our very much loved animals
Hi there - we are a young family looking for a pet/house sitter while we are on holiday in February 2017. We are hoping to find someone we love and to book them for other weekends and holidays in the future too.
We have 3 dogs. A red heeler, kelpie & staffy. All are cross breeds and rescue dogs. The heeler and kelpie are very active however do not have to be walked (unless you enjoy a walk). They are crate trained at night and are generally well behaved....
There are 4 indoor only cats here also. Very easy to care for.
4 chooks are simple to care for. They are set up so you only need to check on them every second or third day (they are old and no longer lay a lot). Depending on the weather they may need to be checked each day if it's really hot.
Our house is a 5 bedroom house that is in the process of massive renovation (hopefully finished by our holiday). We live on 6.5 acres surrounded by state Forrest. It's an isolated beautiful place. The acreage is just bush so no maintenance. The views here are beautiful and we have lots of king parrots and rosellas that love to come and visit for a chat and a pat. + More info
Our Home & Location
Warburton is a beautiful town that is particularly nice during summer. The river is beautiful to swim in (or float down) and there are several BBQs by the river and parks in town. There are nice cafes, restaurants and a small IGA in town. We have views of Donna Buang which is covered in snow during winter.
Responsibilities & Pets
Dogs - let them outside each morning before 8.30am and bring them back inside before dark. Put them into their crates at bed time. Feed them a chicken carcass for breakfast and a raw meal (pre prepared) for dinner. Weather dependant they may need coats or to be bought inside during extreme heat. Ensure fresh water daily.
Cats - feed dry food 2-3 times a day. Clean solids from litter tray 1-2 times a day and ensure clean water available....
Chooks - check for eggs and top up food and water between 1-3 days.
Vacuum the house a few times a week due to pet hair amd keep the house in a tidy/clean state. + More info
