Sitter required for two gorgeous dogs for just over five weeks from June 28
My husband, Paddy, and I have four adult daughters who have left home. We adopted our two beautiful dogs two years ago and have been able to organise pet sitting through friends and our daughters before they were married but now find our options are becoming very limited with our sitters' circumstances changing. Paddy and I continue to be self-employed and work part-time. I am a professional singer and Paddy is a professional speaker and trainer. We have a daughter living in UK whom we visit regularly and also have an annual holiday in Victoria.
Our Home & Location
The home is large with a medium size back garden. The sitter would have an air-conditioned double bedroom with use of family bathroom. There is a cafe within a few minutes walk and also a local small supermarket 5 minutes walk away. Mount Waverley village shopping centre is a 5 minute drive and The Glen and Chadstone shopping centres 10 minutes drive away. Jordanville Station is a 20 minute walk or the bus there (and to shopping centres) is 5 minute walk. The train takes 30 mins to city centre. We are near Deakin University. The beach, Dandenong ranges and City are all 30 minute drive away. There is a pretty local reserve where we walk the dogs.
Responsibilities & Pets
Your responsibility would be to feed the dogs a main meal once a day and give a bone on regular basis. They enjoy a walk once a day... Coco is full of energy. Comet walks more slowly and needs to stop regularly for a little breather. They are used to cuddles and love to sit with us in the evening in the family room. They have a dog door and let themselves in and out of the garden but like to be close to us when we are at home. As we adopted them two years ago we don't know much about their background but they are very sweet and loving. However, Coco is not comfortable with small children. The vet seems to think that Coco is probably Comet's mother, as they came to us together and we were told they were not to be separated. The house would need to be kept clean and the garden watered regularly as required.
