Looking for experienced dog/house sitters for Bella and Hamish
Hi, we are Andrew (musician/relief teacher), Sally (volunteer & Board member of Wear for Success), Bella and Hamish the dogs. We’re a close family and spend a lot of time together. We live in the beautiful Melbourne Bayside suburb of Elwood, sandwiched between St KILDA, Brighton and RipponLea. We live in a lovely house with a small garden. We adore our dogs but would love a holiday. We’re looking for Trusted House sitters to look after our house, Bella and Hamish whilst we’re away. Ideally we’d like to build an ongoing relationship with someone who could house sit for us a few times a year. Bella and Hamish are precious to us, of course, and as they are not used to spending a lot of time alone this would suit a retired person(s) or someone who is studying or can work from home. You’d be rewarded with lots of love and affection whilst staying in a very comfortable house in a fabulous location. Well we thinks so!
Our Home & Location
We are lucky to live in a beautiful location, 7kms from the city, walking distance to the beach and both St KILDA & Elwood shops and restaurants. There are loads of interesting places to walk around the neighbourhood, including the Elsternwick canal.
There are lots of public transport options. A bus stops a few houses away, Ripponlea train station is a 15 minute walk/bus ride and the 96 tram to the city is a 10 minute walk away....
There are heaps of cafes, restaurants and bars within a 15 minute walk.
A friendly family orientated inner city suburb. + More info
Responsibilities & Pets
We’re looking for someone to take very good care of our super spoilt canine family members when we go on holiday. This will include daily on lead walks, feeding, an occasional brush & of course providing much needed company etc. They are very affectionate & love being around trusted people. They should not be left for more than 5-6 hours at a time so would suit someone retired or that works from home. Bella can be very anxious. She is a rescue dog. She needs lots of reassurance and to feel completely protected. Hamish pretends to be the little protector & guard dog. He loves a good bark at anything that moves. They are house dogs but do have boundaries that need to be reinforced. They can always benefit from obedience training.
