Pet sitting required
We are a married couple who originally met in cairns and have since spent the last 10 years moving about Australia for work.
We love to travel, but like most find it hardest leaving our fur babies behind. As Bianca has been part of the pet care industry for over 15 years our fur babies have been looked after by only the best, whether that be a kennel/cattery or at home by family/friends. Especially as most of our crew are getting a bit older now, we find it much easier and less stressful on them to have someone come and stay in our home with them now.
Our Home & Location
We have a 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom house in a quiet neighborhood, situated roughly 10 minutes walk to the beach. Located close to a major shopping mall, restaurants and cinemas with easy access to public transport. The penguin island ferry terminal is just down the road along with some beautiful beach walks at Peron point.
Our home has a swimming pool, indoor spa bath and billiard table so there's always plenty to keep you entertained, if the animals didn't already....
Our main guest room is quite large with a brand new queen suite and high quality mattress, and a double bed in the second guest room. Along with all the other mod cons, washer, dryer, fridge (2, gotta keep the beer cold), T.V's, internet, etc. + More info
Responsibilities & Pets
As mentioned most of our crew are getting a lot older now so a little more attention to detail may be required. We'd really like someone that can be at the house a fair bit. (We tend to be out of the house between 4-6 hours, no more than 8 hours).
Stich the cat has hyperthyroidism, and has to have an ointment rubbed into the inside of his ear twice a day....
We currently feed everyone twice a day, dry food and maybe a tin of something, nothing complicated.
Havana is still a puppy and a big one at that, she is well behaved but still learning, she doesn't understand her size yet and will not hesitate to sit on you or accidentally run into you. A keen eye for things she might be chewing that she shouldn't be would be greatly appreciated :)
Other than that it's just the basics, top up water bowls, feed the fish, keep the place tidy (unfortunately this does mean dog poo as well) lots of cuddles and the odd photo to ease our nerves. Oh and we don't expect the dogs to be walked while we are away, they are happy at home and we are happy knowing they're home. + More info
