Happy Brazilian Black Lab
My husband and I are international teachers whom love to travel AND love animals. We adopted a Brazilian street dog because she was found tied up alone for days in a garage....she needed a home! Now Amora is a healthy and happy girl! She has helped to make Brazil feel like a real home for us. We travel the most during school holidays and would like to have Amora stay at home while we go exploring. Amora was born around May 2015. She is young, playful and knows a lot of commands. She is kennel trained as well. Amora loves swimming in the ocean, playing fetch and frisbee!
Our Home & Location
We have a three bedroom house about 100 meters away from a clean, quiet beautiful beach. Our house is in a community of 12 houses total with a grounds keeper. We have there levels to our house with the top being a ocean view balcony. The bedrooms are on the second floor and the kitchen, living room and outdoor space on the ground level. We have a washer at our house as well as a community/shared pool . The house is well maintained and clean. A cleaning lady comes weekly to help with the floors and the dog hair.
We live within walking distance to grocery stores and restaurants. The bus is close by too. We are about 15 Km from downtown Salvador. Salvador is an interesting city to explore for its rich Afro-Brazilian culture and music scene.
Responsibilities & Pets
Amora requires a lot of excersise to stay fit and healthy. We would like her to be walked or taken to the beach (100 meters away) at least twice a day or more! She also eats twice a day. When you go out to see Salvador, Amora will stay in an outdoor space with a yard. Sometimes she digs, so keeping the little yard (approx. 70 sq meters) maintained would be wonderful.
We also have a small garden to maintain, mostly water twice a day.
