Bailey is ready to show you love!
Hello trusted friends! I am Colette, a single elementary teacher at the American School of Sao Paulo. Having grown up overseas, I am totally at home in a different country. Bailey and I are happy after our recent move (just 11 months) and we are enjoying all that Sao Paulo has to offer.
Our Home & Location
Living in Morumbi, a suburb of Sao Paulo, I feel like we have the best of both worlds: city right next door and quiet neighborhood. This apartment complex, Condominio Paulistano is so safe and secure, yet so expansive. You have a restaurant in the activity center, as well as a spa and tennis courts. If you are a runner, the complex has a great zig-zag pattern of houses you can use as a small course. Just outside the gates, there is a drug store, hamburger joint, nail salon, and mini-supermarket. Within a few kilometers, you have a huge variety of restaurants, shops, and malls. The Burle Marx Park is very popular for running, biking and just enjoying a Sunday stroll. The best transportation method is by Uber or 99 Taxi (both free phone apps); they are inexpensive, safe and very helpful. If you know you want to visit the beach, rent a car and the trip is about 1.5 hours away! How could you go wrong?
Responsibilities & Pets
When you least expect it, Bailey will show up next to you for a neck rub, a back scratch or just some plain loving. He loves to eat - especially his wet food. I feed him a third of a can plus half a packet twice a day 0 in the morning and at night. I leave dry food out at all times. Although Bailey doesn't like to drink water, I leave it out just in case. Because he doesn't drink a lot, a add a bit of tap water in his wet food before serving it. If you add too much water, he will let you know by not touching it.
Every morning or every other morning, I will give him two Hair Ball Remedy chews BEFORE feeding his wet food. He will rarely touch the chews if his wet food is already served....
As for his litter box, it is not very large. I check and clean it every 2-3 days. He can go 4 days but that's pretty much the limit. I add new litter (the Tidy Cat brand) each time I clean the box.
For Bailey, he loves to have the option of sleeping with or near you. I would not advise closing a lot of doors, as he will meow and scratch to at least have access, even if he doesn't stay.
Trash has to be brought down the service elevator to level -1. Out of the elevator, to the left, the last two doors against the wall take regular trash and recyclables.
DON'T use the social elevator, as I have the only key to the front door. You will need to have the key and use the service door and elevator.
Any other questions, please send me a message and I am happy to help! + More info
