Townhouse in a suburban area
While I am away my Kerry Blue Terriers would like to stay home. This is winter in British Columbia and a very nice time to visit. I have a very nice yard for the dogs (and humans) with a patio set for relaxing. There is a BBQ and this is a safe and family-oriented area. Terrier experience is a must as this breed can be challenging. I appreciate sitters who have their own homes as well as they understand better what it takes to keep a home comfortable.
Our Home & Location
Beautiful yard (1,000 SF), safe neighbourhood, close to shopping area (groceries, restaurants, pub) and 5 minutes from the bus route. Main floor features the living area (kitchen, living room & bathroom) and upstairs are two bedrooms and an office. Wifi, Telus Optic television, home theatre setup, and Netflix included. A gas fireplace (not for the summer however... too hot!)
Responsibilities & Pets
I would like someone to stay in my two level townhouse and care for, and love my Kerry Blue Terriers. I would like if the dogs get their three walks a day, and a pack leader to stay with them. An extended stay can be arranged if you want to spend more time in BC.
Before you make a decision to contact me, here are some thoughts about my dogs from previous sitters:...
"Lucy is a spirited dog. She loves to serve and protect. Distraction is key for Lucy. She has a constant "on" personality and is consistently on the lookout. Toys, snuggles, and firm directions are key to a calm environment. "
"Quinn is a love bug. He is a gentle soul and still playful like a pup. If you have an free hand, he will find it for belly scratches. His personality is curious, so just like with a toddler, silence is not always the best. "
"Both are loving, affectionate dogs and love being with their humans, but they are not friendly to other four-legged canines on or off the leash. Within the home, these two are wonderful friends. Kerry Blues are highly intellectual, strong willed, and very affectionate. If this is your first time dog sitting, or have never raised dogs before, I would suggest not replying. These two require time and patience from all those who care for them. " + More info
