Dog and Elderly diabetic cat (needs insulin shots 2x daily)
Our children live out of town and we travel back and forth to see them a few times a year. Our cat needs insulin shots twice daily and the only option we have found is the vet which isn't ideal. We have traveled with him but he isn't happy doing that and it stresses both the dog and cat out to travel. Having someone available to take care of our pets and home when we go away would be such a gift.
Our Home & Location
Our home is located in Quail Ridge by the airport and UBCO. It's very comfortable and a safe neighbourhood with plenty of walking areas and a few shops located close by. There is transit close by if you don't have a car but the hours aren't as good as some.
Responsibilities & Pets
Skiba the cat needs a needle in the morning and evening, approximately 12 hours apart. He eats intermittently throughout the day and his litter box is cleaned every couple of days.
Gunner eats morning and evening. He loves vegetables and goes out for a short walk a couple times a day. He is completely house trained and can be left at home for the day with no issues. Gunner does sleep in a bed on the floor of our bedroom....
The pets do not go on our beds. The sneak on the furniture occasionally or the dog does sit on our lap at times. + More info
