Heritage Home In Port Moody, BC
I'm a semi-retired professional woman and I love to travel. I also love my cute little heritage home--and of course my fur babies mean the world to me. I have several reliable pet/house sitters, but they're so good they're frequently booked when I need them. I have family in Southern California, so I travel down to visit as much as I can.
Our Home & Location
When I found my little heritage home in Port Moody I felt as if I'd won the lottery. While it wouldn't be everyone's cup of tea, it is charming and the terraced back yard is lovely! There's also a front porch with comfortable chairs where many a glass of wine has been enjoyed. I enjoy cooking so while the kitchen is small, it's well equipped. The home has two bedrooms (there's an entire basement suite, but I always have it empty when I travel. I AirBNB it when I'm home, unless I have friends or family visiting, and then it's theirs.
Transit (buses and the SkyTrain) are a short 5-10 minute walk from my place, though there is ample parking if you have a vehicle. All amenities are close by and Port Moody is a lovely town to explore. Rocky Point Park is a 15 minute walk from my front door and there are many good restaurants (including the brew pubs Port Moody is know for) within walking distance.
Responsibilities & Pets
Top priority is the care of the animals. Albert is on twice daily meds (not an issue to administer) and Andy who is fairly new to my family is still sorting out his ear infections and he is currently on a once a day pill but he may be finished with that soon! (We both hope!!)
All animals get fed morning and evening.
Cat box is scooped morning and evening.
Dogs get a walk morning and evening (unless the weather is dreadful).
Lots of love for all of them during the day.
In the summer I would be grateful if you could do a little watering of my plants. All of this will be explained and I'll leave copious written instructions. No gardening experience necessary!...
I leave a basket for collecting the mail and packages.
Not necessary to answer the phone. + More info
