House and puppy sit needed for cozy Squamish home steps from local trails
We are heading off to Europe and must leave our beloved pup behind.
My husband is a firefighter and I'm a lawyer, working in-house for a telecommunications company. We're both avid mountain bikers in our early forties and love to spend our time riding bikes, exploring, cooking, gardening and hanging out with our puppy, Fern.
Our Home & Location
We recently finished building a custom, architect designed home in our favorite neighborhood in Squamish. It's a west coast style, 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom home with gorgeous wood finishings and stunning views from every floor. Three stories with lots of stairs, this is unfortunately not a good house if you have trouble with stairs. The house is located literally steps away from hiking and mountain biking trails and a world class rock climbing area. It's a 5 min drive or a 20 min walk to downtown and 45 min drive to Whistler.
Responsibilities & Pets
You would need to care for our 9 month old puppy, Fern. She's very well behaved for a puppy, but still learning her manners and needs lots of attention and walks. Our yard is not well fenced, so she can't be left alone outside for any significant period of time. She's crate trained, but can't be on her own in the crate for more than a few hours. She's in a bit of a chewing phase so has to be in the crate when she's along in the house. Someone with experience training puppies would be preferred.
Aside from Fern, the house doesn't need anything other than routine care and cleaning during the winter.
