Pet sitter needed for friendly, gentle female Labradoodle.
I am retired, but worked at the university for 18 years as an ombudsperson for students. I have a two bedroom townhouse in a condo complex close to bus routes and a mall. My 11 year old labradoodle, Phoebe, a spayed female, LOVES people and most other dogs but is not good with cats (she believes they should be hunted, like rabbits). She needs several walks a day, and is a dedicated napper.
Our Home & Location
Our home is a one-story townhouse. There's a master bedroom with ensuite bathroom and walk-in closet and a small guest bedroom with double bed and flat screen smart TV. There's a garage, a small front garden and a back patio but no fenced yard. We are located in the north end of London across from a mall with a supermarket, bank, pharmacy, Tim Horton's and Starbucks. We are close to wooded trails and a park with playground. An off-leash dog park is a twenty minute walk from our home. London is only about a one hour drive to Lakes Huron and Erie (think beaches and sight-seeing); about 45 minutes to charming Stratford and the Stratford Theatre, and a two or two and half hour drive down the highway to Toronto, Niagara region or south to Windsor-Detroit.
I have high speed internet and a car and bicycle in the garage. Washer and dryer are on the main floor.
Responsibilities & Pets
Phoebe typically has three walks a day: one early , one in the afternoon (can be late afternoon) and a short one after supper. In between walks she usually sleeps, but sometimes she just wants a bit of attention. If she has a good walk (half an hour or so) in the morning she can be left alone until roughly 4 in the afternoon. She is basically easy to care for: a happy dog!
