I would like someone to stay at my apartment in NDG, Montreal to care for my 11 yo Corgi mix dog and 13 yo long haired affectionate cat. Both are rescues.
Our Home & Location
I live in a duplex in Notre-Dame-de-Grâce (NDG), residential neighborhood in Montreal. Very close to Montreal West. Street parking out front. There is a bus stop across the street, easy access to get around. There is no Metro nearby however but you can take the bus to the metro, to go downtown or wherever you need. There are 4 parks very close by, with play areas for kids, lots of greenery. 5 minute walk to grocery store, and some other shops. Apartment is upstairs in a quiet duplex. Apartment is quite large - with balcony in front and back. Main bedroom has 1 queen bed. My son's room has a twin bed. Large kitchen and living room area, TWO bathrooms; one half bath off main bedroom. Small office as well. Use of: high speed internet, Smart TV/Netflix, Youtube, dishwasher, washer/dryer/clothes line, window Air Conditioners as needed. No cable TV or home phone on premises. I rent the apartment from my landlady who lives downstairs.
Responsibilities & Pets
NO smoking inside or outside of apartment. Feed dog/cat twice a day. Give clean water daily. Clean litter box daily. Take dog out minimum of 3 times/day. One longer walk for exercise. Must be ok sleeping with my needy cat, she's a great cuddler! Dog sleeps in her own bed. Dog is very friendly and loves people. Dog must be on leash at all times and cat is not allowed outside, not even the balcony - but she will try to sneak out! MUST be pet lovers, especially dogs. Lupe' is a little bit of an anxious dog and can bark at the slightest noise outside, but not all day by any means. She had knee surgery 5 yrs ago and has a metal plate and arthritis in both back legs. She sometimes limps so should not be running for a lengthy period of time. She must also take some medication added to her food daily. She should not be left alone for more than approximately 4 hrs/day and never overnight. She loves riding in the car, going on walks, especially on Mt. Royal and along the nearby St. Lawrence river. -- Take out trash/recycling/compost twice per week. Take in mail, water one plant weekly. No other individuals allowed to stay overnight without prior permission.
*You MUST provide references AND background check OR ID verification. Preferably all three. Several great references and ID verification may be sufficient. If you haven't done much house/pet sitting and don't have many references, then please provide additional personal/work references AND background check. If you're coming from another country, you can provide a copy of your passport for ID verification. ~ Basically, I need to be able to trust a stranger staying in my home and taking care of my family members! So the more you can provide, the more peace of mind I'll have!
