Sitter needed to take care of our lovely pets (1 cat and 2 rats) in downtown Montreal
**I'LL UPLOAD PHOTOS SOON!**
Hello, thanks for your interest!...
I'm a petsitter too, but this time, I need a sitter for my pets. Usually, my boyfriend stays at home when I'm travelling, but this time, he's coming with me.
I'm a project manager and my boyfriend is a software engineer. We're both in our late-twenties, and we love to travel. Oh and we love pets :) I'm a freelancer and I work from home or from a coffeeshop around or from the park (it has wifi, how cool is that!). So if you work remotely, I have a desk/office space that you can use.
We won't be too far, we'll be in the US (California/Arizona/Nevada). So we'll be reachable if an emergency occurs. + More info
Our Home & Location
The neighbourhood is the best in Montreal (trust me!). The apartment is located in Saint-Henri, between Lionel-Groulx and Place-Saint-Henri metro stations (orange and green line). The airport shuttle drops off at Lionel-Groulx station. There is a beautiful park just around the corner with picnic tables, fountain and benches. There is also a convenience store just next to the apartment. There are a lot of cute cafés and restaurants around, and some groceries stores and the Atwater Market. The Canal Lachine is not too far, this is a perfect spot to walk of bike next to the water (straight to Old Port!). Some of the best restaurants in Montreal are within 15 minutes walk too (Joe Beef, Liverpool, Vin Papillon, etc.) You can easily take the metro to reach Old Port, Plateau, Mont-Royal, Saint-Laurent, Place des festivals, well everywhere in the city. Or you can walk around 25 minutes to go on Crescent where the nightlife happens or to go on Sainte-Catherine to go shopping.
Our apartment is located on the second floor of a 6 apartments building. The owner lives just below on first floor, and the neighbours are our close friends.
Our place is well equipped with fast Internet, TV (with Apple TV, Playstation, Game Cube and Nintendo 64), one double bed, one single bed and one sofa bed, dishwasher, espresso machine, Soda Stream, washing machine and dryer. Feel free to use everything you need :)
Responsibilities & Pets
The pets are pretty low maintenance.
Tisha needs to be fed when her bowl is empty, every 2-3 days. She needs a bowl of fresh water every day too, but she'll probably prefer to drink from the toilet bowl.. That's alright haha! She doesn't go outside. Sometimes she might want to go out with you on the balcony if you are there, but she'll want to go inside after a few minutes. And finally, the litter box needs to be done every 2-3 days too. She might be shy in the beginning, but she'll request some cuddle when she is ready....
Obélix and Manolo are 2 rescue pet rats. Obélix comes from a laboratory (that's why he has a earring and he's obese). Manolo is the other, cute tiny beige one. I give them food and water every day, and I try to play with them and take them outside their cage about an hour every day too. This is not mandatory at all, they're pretty happy sleeping all day too! When the cage is smelly, and wipe it with paper towel and vinegar+water solution (every 1 or 2 days or so), and I change the litter every week. Oh and you can give them threats, cuddle and food scrap, they'll be in paradise!
I have a few house plants too, they might require to be watered every week or so. + More info
