Escape to paradise directly on the pacific ocean with 2 lovely dogs
We, Sandra, Ralf and Marvin are a family of 3, originally from Germany and Austria. Our son Marvin is 15 and attends school. We moved to Costa Rica about 2 years ago and have still things to sort out in Europe. Therefore we need to go abroad some times and also we would like to go on vacation on school holidays with our son. We were living in Italy and Malta before coming to Costa Rica. We speak English, Italian, German and Spanish. From San Jose airport we live appr. 4,5 hours, from Liberia airport appr. 3 hours. Bus service is available or pick up service can be arranged.
Our Home & Location
We have a beautiful house directly on the beach at Playa Coyote (appr. 40 minutes south of Punta Islita), one of the most beautiful beaches in Costa Rica. We do have an in-home surveillance system, 6 cameras outside and 2 cameras inside. Our house-sitters will stay in our guest apartment.
4 km sandy beach, most of the time nobody around, except the neighbors and locals for fishing. The beach is very safe for surfing and swimming. Only 400m away there is a Restaurant and Bar owned by a very nice German couple. They serve very good Costa Rican food. About 5 km away is the little town San Francisco de Coyote with 2 grocery stores, one hard-ware store, Coffee shop and 3 restaurants. The next bigger city is Jicaral (about 45 minutes on gravel road) and Samara (about 1 hour).
Responsibilities & Pets
Our two very sweet dogs, Spike and Luna nearly 2 years old, are very easy going and relaxed. We would ask the sitter to walk them two times a day, min 1 hour in the morning and in the evening. As days start early in Costa Rica it should be soon after sunrise and around 4.30 to 5 in the evening. Depending on the season it could be a little later, if it is not too hot. They need to be fed twice a day after walking. As it can be very hot (31 degrees) the sitter has to take care that they never run out of water. We walk them at the beach with no leash. They love to chase crabs and each other. They run in the sea and try to catch fish. During the day they relax. They are only outside the house.
