Egyptian small holding near the Mediterranean with special responsibility for horses and dogs
Hello! I am an English woman who has been running a chemical free small holding in Northern Egypt for the past 8 years as an agro tourism project, educational field trip venue for schools and producing chemical free farm produce and products. This year I am starting the process of winding down and retiring, so I have cut back on staff and sold off a number of animals. Recently, several changes occurred in my life, including getting divorced from my Egyptian husband and thereby being left to run the place on my own ( which is an entirely more satisfactory state of affairs!!) and being gifted a deaf pitbull type puppy . These and various other factors have lead me to the conclusion that it would be hugely beneficial to have a house/pet sitter here during my regular absences from the farm who can take special responsibility for the horses, dogs and garden. The resident staff take care of the rest of the farm . I have a website and a Facebook page with the same name which explains things better than I can here especially since I am struggling to upload photos!
Our Home & Location
You will be accommodated in the main house (villa) which has 3 ensuite room available for sitters use as well as an open plan kitchen living dining area plus an additional huge sitting dining room. It has air conditioning in all rooms. There are another 3 residential units on the property including the workers house. There is a fresh water swimming pool in the Villa gardens. The property is located on the edge of a small village and is enclosed by a wall. There are a number of shops and a pharmacy in the village and the small towns of Borg al Arab and Hammam are roughly equidistant at about 10 kms. The city of Alexandria is about an hour or so drive away Borg al arab international airport is approximately half an hour away . The pyramids of Giza are about 2 hours away and central Cairo about 3 hours drive. Cairo Airport is between 3 and 4 hours depending on the traffic! The Mediterranean coast is about 20 mins away and I have access to one of the holiday villages which gets you on the beach. If you hold a full clean licence and have nerves of steel, I will leave my very nice XV for your use.
