4 Cats (1 diabetic), House and Garden in Alsace, close to Basel and Freiburg
We live in the beautiful village of Leymen, just across the border from Basel, with our extended family of 4 cats. One of our boys is diabetic and requires insulin injection 2 x per day. Whilst we enjoy every moment with them, we also like to travel every now and then. Paul is from Cardiff in Wales and I am from Dresden in Germany. Paul works as an Aircraft Project Manager and I am an Office Manager in a Pharmaceutical start up Company in Basel.
Our Home & Location
Leymen is located in the South Alsace, Sundgau area, approx 13km outside of Basel. The airport is a 20 min drive away. Leymen has a direct tram Connection to the City, approx every 30mins. tram stop is a 15min walk. We are surrounded by hiking paths and the Landskron Castle and Mariastein Abbey are only a 30-60 min walk. 3 horse farms in surrounding villages. There is a small dairy shop in the village (open 7 days a week), a butcher, a bank, 3 Restaurants (our local is À l'Ange). Leymeners speak Elsässisch, French and German. The village is popular for Expats, there is a great English speaking community.
Responsibilities & Pets
Cat feeding am & pm, insulin injection, tray scooping, ensuring all are in at nights and cat flap is locked, cuddles, keep house clean, overnight stay
