Lovely barn conversion surrounded by stunning countryside with very friendly large dog, two cats and free range chickens
We are Richard & Amanda Allison and we live in the beautiful countryside of Limousin in South West France. Richard is a retired police officer and Amanda a former credit control manager. During the summer we rent out our Gite, and the rest of the year we like to travel. It is our first time using house sitters.
Our Home & Location
Our home is a 4 bedroom 3 bathroom barn conversion with attached barn and the original 3 bedroom farmhouse which we let as a Gite during the summer. The grounds extend to 17 acres most of which is situated within the stunning Perigord Limousin natural park. Within 3 kms is the small town of Chalus with supermarket and local commerce. The village of Pageas is also 3 kms away. The area is full of history, chateaus, castles, lakes and unspoilt countryside. The house has a swimming pool, games room with pool table, and outside a boule court. The house is rural but not isolated with a few houses nearby. A car or transport is needed.
Responsibilities & Pets
We would like house sitters to look after Max who is a very friendly well behaved Leonberger. Max loves walks and being with people. Our two cats are barn cats and live outside in the barn, they love a fuss and only require a little food. The chickens are free range and once let out in the morning roam until dusk when they return to their beds,
