Care for my 3 horses and small dog on a Horse farm in SW France
I aim looking for a trustworthy person who can sit for my adorable, cute Romanian rescue dog and three horses whilst I go to visit my family for a few days . There’s not much to do with the animals other than to feed and cuddle the dog and take him for walks around the property. It is set in a stunning rural location in the farmland of Gascony near the St Jacques de Compostella trail with lots of stunning local walks and wildlife. It is seven minutes from a vibrant town with shops, restaurants and cafes and there’s other towns about 15 minutes away so you will need to have a car unless you are very self sufficient and like peace. Only a few days sit needed . Very peaceful place the accommodation is in a well equipped gite with all mod cons and beautiful views ,plenty of fresh air with fabulous walks we even have a lake with a boat and a beach on the farm. You don't have to be able to ride but you must be capable of looking after my horses who live outside 24/7 but just need checking and maybe feed if they need it. This is a gite on the farm so the owners of the property live on site and are very helpful if needed so you will not feel isolated. Gorgeous views but bring wellies.
Our Home & Location
I live on a beautiful Gascon farm which has been an equestrian centre but is now home only to my three geldings who have recently moved from Dartmoor in the U.K. to SW France. In order that I may get home to visit family I need you to come and hold the fort which is in actuality a lovely two bedroom wooden gite with good facilities and WiFi. Stunning views of the surrounding Gascony ideal for a wildlife lover or writer.
Responsibilities & Pets
There is not a huge task list, you are here to enjoy a break and enjoy a rural and healthy lifestyle away from it all. The place is very soothing. Your responsibilities are to check on the horses at least twice daily . You may need to put on a rug if it's wet or feed them daily from about October depending on the weather . Responsibilities will be depending on your experience with horses. There are people who live in the main house and own the farm
who will help but need a person who feels competent to deal with any eventuality in my absence and keep me updated. If I leave my Romanian rescue dog Hunter at home He will need feeding twice daily walks and cuddles.I hope you will enjoy a peaceful and comfortable break here in the French countryside
