We are looking for a reliable petsitter (horses, dogs, cats) in South France (Aveyron)
Hello, bonjour, guten Tag! We are an international family (German/French) and moved from Turkey to South France in 2017 with our horses and dogs. As a big part of our heart is remaining in Turkey, we would like to travel to our old home over there (in the French school holidays). We look for reliable animal sitters who take care of our animals (also non-riders) so that we can leave with total peace of mind.
Our Home & Location
Our little farm house is located in South Aveyron, limit to Tarn. We live in a rural and very green area in a little village, the nearest town (supermarket, cinema etc.) is 12 km away (eventually, we can let our car to the petsitter's disposal). Our house is next to a forest with horse riding and walking parcours. We took the house over from a farmer, the interior ("functional") offers a comfortable living, step by step we are renovating it in style to make it a cosy farm house.
In the environment, there are interesting (nature) sightseeing spots and historical cities to visit. Also ideal environment for everyone who loves outdoor sports!
Responsibilities & Pets
Horses: Our horses live in a open stable, the cleaning of the horse place takes about 1 hour per day. They need to be fed in the morning and in the evening. During our absence, we open the big meadow next to their stable, so they don't really need to be worked. If you are a horse rider, just feed free to take them out to some nature rides (endless possibilities), they are used to being ridden (I myself try to ride them every day).
Dogs: They sleep in the summer kitchen downstairs (we lock them in there over night), during the day they stroll around or accompany me on horse rides in the forest. We feed them twice a day....
Cats: Onyx is the boss of the barn and is a lot of time outside. Poppy is a real lap and couch potato! :-) We offer them food in the morning and in the evening.
The chicken: Just feed them once, twice the day and change the water. + More info
