Pet Lovers Needed for the Cuddliest Cat in Munich during Oktoberfest
We are a young American-German couple who settled together in Munich after 5 years of long-distance. Jakob runs his owns business and Taylor is a nutrition scientist.
Huxley and Noah, our beloved dog and cat, made the move from Texas to Munich with Taylor three years ago. We make the trip regularly back to Texas to visit our American family, and are looking for someone to care for our snuggle bunnies while we are away. Noah will be staying with friends this trip, so we only need someone to look after Huxley.

Our apartment offers the perfect compromise between the city and the countryside. Situated right behind our apartment building is a beautiful forest with plenty of trails that allow for relaxation, exercise, and connection to nature. Enjoy the beautiful weather on the balcony or snuggle up for a movie night using our large projector screen, or play a few board games. Enjoy a cup of tea and a good book snuggled up on the couch on a rainy day. We also have a piano that you are welcome to play (just not late at night ;) ).
You can take 15 minute walk to a small beer garden and horse barn tucked away in the woods to have a beer or cake and coffee, and say hi to the horses.
The beautiful Schloss Schleißheim palace complex is only a 30-45 minute walk through the forest away, or it can be reach by bike or S-bahn. There is a protected nature area and an ice-blue lake (Mallertshofener See) where you can swim located 10-15 minutes away by bike. And the oldest brewery in the world, Weihenstephan, can be reached by a 20 minute trip with the S-bahn to Freising.
At the same time, the entire city of Munich is a short train ride away. Explore the historic city and beautiful museums, coffee shops and beer gardens, or enjoy a sunny afternoon at the English Garden. Oktoberfest goes until the 7th of October, so this would be a great chance to experience this famous Munich tradition.
The Bavarian Alps are also located just south of Munich, and you can easily make a day trip via train or car to hike in the alps or spend the day at one of beautiful lakes just south of Munich. + More info
Responsibilities & Pets
Huxley loves being around people but is relatively low maintenance.
He requires only a comfy lap to sit on and a chamber maid to attend to his litter box. He also needs to be given a tablet once a day, which he takes easily....
We have some house plants that need to be watered once or twice a week as well.
We are leaving early on October 1st, so we would like someone who can come over the day before so that we can show them around and introduce them to the cat. + More info
