Bounty and Twix want one week worth of cuddles over Christmas
Hi and thank you for your interest.
My husband and I live in Germany for work but our respective families live in Austria and Belgium. We would love to visit my parents for Christmas, as we haven't visited them in ages. Unfortunately, visiting them with two dogs and a baby is not possible, so we're looking for someone to take Bounty and Twix out for regular walks, ball play in the garden and evening cuddles. And why not: to give them a nice Christmas bone :-)
It is likely (though not certain) that we might visit family again for a few additional weekends or midweeks over the next year as we're expecting our first child in summer, so it would be great if the dogs could build up a bond with a sitter that they might meet more regular :-)
Our Home & Location
We live in a wooden block house with two bedrooms. Wifi is available, as are a BBQ (unrelated to one another, but both very nice to have) and a wide variety of board games and international movies for your entertainment.
The convenience store is approximately ten to fifteen minutes away on foot, as is the tramline that takes you to Bielefeld city centre.
Responsibilities & Pets
We have two very social dogs who are up for cuddles, play and nice long walks. Bounty is a four year old dog and will regulalry skip walks when it's too dark, too early, too rainy, ... she's a bit of a princess. Twix is a 1,5 year old rescue and hasn't had all the necessary socialisation as a puppy. He's absolutely affectionate with humans but quite the barker when he meets other dogs (we're working on his insecurities, but there's no quick fix). Ideally, a house sitter would be able to take them for walks once or twice a day.
There's no need for substantial house maintenance, but if you really feel the need to hoover every day, I won't stop you (seriously, it is not required).
