A goofy dog and a joyful cat in Leipzig
Hello. I am a researcher working and living in Leipzig with one goofy dog and one joyful cat. I lived in the U.S. and Korea half my life in each, and I now live in Germany. I used to work in international development, and now in nature conservation. I travel from time to time for work and for pleasure and would love to have reliable sitters for my house and furry friends.
Our Home & Location
My apartment is in a prime location in Leipzig (Südvorstadt) with many restaurants and boutique shops. It's 5 min to beautiful Clara Zetkin Park and the city center by bike, and 2-3 min to a tram stop (Sudplatz) by foot, which also takes you directly to Leipzig main train station (10 min). Most places in Leipzig are reachable by bike. It is a beautiful city to visit.
Responsibilities & Pets
The apartment doesn't need any particular caring except for watering plants.
My dog HanGook and my cat Deutsch need to be fed morning and evening - water food, and some supplements. HanGook needs 2-3 walks a day for 20 minutes (morning and evening) - he doesn't walk long either given his old age or by his strong will (as my vet and walker say). HanGook needs a bit of time building trust with new people so a few days earlier arrival and getting familiarized with him in my presence will be necessary in the first few visits. Once becoming good friends, he will be a good dog....
My cat Deutsche is still a young kitten and needs litter box cleaning every two days. She is playful and affectionate, and super adorable. HanGook and Deutsch know how to live together but occasional discipline and separation (when left home alone) is necessary. They would, of course, appreciate play time and snacks but both are quite relaxed and can be independent. + More info
