Christmas in Hong Kong
I live in Hong Kong with my boyfriend Gray and our two little dogs: Ludo and Loki.
I am a teacher, and Gray is in recruitment. We both love to travel, and would rather our pups stay in their own home rather than have them board.
Our Home & Location
Hong Kong is an amazing place. Normally thought of as an urban jungle, it is actually somewhere that is mostly green. Other than the dense urban areas, there are beaches, hikes, mountains, boats and islands to visit!...
We live next to Tin Hau MTR station, which is central enough for things to still be convenient, but far enough out to be away from the madness. We live directly above a large supermarket which is open 24/7.
Tin Hau is a quiet area, with trendy Tai Hang nearby. Both Tin Hau and Tai Hang have some lovely bars and restaurants for a quieter evening. The area also has a public swimming pool, tennis courts, and Victoria park nearby.
About 15 minutes behind our house, you can get onto the trails into Braemar Hill and up to Mount Butler for some amazing views above the city.
The inside of our flat is about 500 square foot. It has one bedroom with king size bed. The living and kitchen area are open plan. The kitchen has a gas oven and large fridge/freezer. Both the bedroom and open plan area have air conditioning. The bathroom has a toilet, shower and small bath.
We have a large terrace, which is about 1000 square feet, that comes straight off of the living area. It is partially covered for those rainy days, with a projector area with two sofas, a dining area with a 6 person table, washing machine and large fridge. The outside part has a large gas BBQ, gym area, outdoor sofa, and small pool in the summer months. We have a lovely view to the central of Hong Kong, over the parks.
We are on the 3rd floor. To the first floor is a set of stairs, then there is a lift from there. We have 24/7 security guards at the top of the first set of stairs. + More info
Responsibilities & Pets
We have two dogs: Ludo and Loki.
Ludo: Male Chihuahua. Neutered and microchipped. Loves to sit on your lap and have cuddles. Very low maintenance otherwise. No medication needed. May bark at you to begin with but if you scratch his neck he will love you. No too bothered about walks, would rather stay at home and play with his toys/snuggle....
Loki: Female Mini Pinscher. Neutered and microchipped. Wary (but very gentle) of people at first (she spent the first 7 months of her life in a cage before we got her) but she warms up to you and then is very cuddly. No medication needed. Loves to go for long walks and sniff everything she comes across.
We also have some very low maintenance plants and trees on our terrace, they need watering every few days. There is a hose on the terrace that reaches them all easily. + More info
