Visit Italy on the Coast of the Adriatic
Hello all! Benvenuti!
This will be our first time using Trusted Housesitters. We are Americans living and working alongside the Italian Air Force in Manfredonia, Italy. The best part of living overseas is the ability to travel and we have many travel plans in mind for 2019 and will be interested in hosting some sitters (singles, couples, or a family) for weekends up to 10 day cruises. Please stay tuned for constantly added dates for 2019...
Our Home & Location
Our 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom home is 2km from the beach in Siponto and has a lovely view of the Gargano mountains from our terrace and two balconies. It's a perfect retreat. We have wifi and Netflix with two living areas- one upstairs by the front door and one downstairs in the basement. We have plenty of free parking in our quiet neighborhood. We also have a large backyard and side yard for the dog to run. He loves to be outside. We have a fully furnished kitchen with many appliances. We also have an outdoor grill and dining area. We have a washer and dryer for laundry in the basement. Our upstairs bathroom has a bathtub and the other two have showers. There is plenty of hiking in the Gargano, beach walks, a 30 minute drive to the GrandApulia mall and all the amazing food Puglia offers throughout the town and surrounding areas. We are also accessible to nearby towns such as Vieste, Bari, Pompeii, Napoli, Trani, Polignano a Mare, and Alberobello which are always unforgettable day trips. There is a train station in Foggia to take you three hours to Rome. Of course, winery visits also top the list!
Responsibilities & Pets
Dublin is very easy. You will hardly know he is there. He prefers to play outside most of the day. In fact, if he is inside too long he will let you know he is ready to go back out! He runs back and forth, barks at the stray cats and tries to chase after the garbage man through the fence. He doesn't need walks- he exercises all day. When inside, he keeps to himself. He plays hard all day so he mostly lays inside where he can see you and keep you safe while he falls asleep and you watch tv, prepare dinner, or go about your business. If you are out for the day you are welcome to leave him outside- he likes that better than being cooped up in the house. He just needs fresh water and food in his bowl while you are away. He has a dog house if he wants a pillow or warmth and the back patio keeps him out of the rain. At night, he responds to "let's go to bed" and sleeps through the night. (or even through the day if you like to sleep in! He's excellent)
