Christmas in Rome With Our Friendly Dogs
We are a British couple who have lived in Rome for the last couple of years due to work, and we love it here! We travel home to the UK a couple of times a year to visit our families, and prefer to leave our two dogs in their own surroundings when we travel.
Our Home & Location
We live in the EUR district of Rome, in a spacious, ground floor apartment with its own private, dog proof garden and large, covered terrace. We have aircon in all of the important rooms, and a large, well We are a 10 minute walk from the nearest Metro station. The area is well served by public transport and you can be at the Colosseum in 25 minutes. The area is less chaotic than much of Rome, with several parks nearby, making walking the dogs straightforward. At weekends and during the summer months, the area is actually quite peaceful.
Responsibilities & Pets
Our dogs are medium sized rescue dogs; both are spayed females. Holly is a lurcher (whippet cross), from Dogs Trust in the UK and Bella is a retriever cross, who we adopted from a shelter just outside Rome. They are both well behaved and very loving, good to walk on the lead. Because we live in a city with traffic, they do not go off the lead, even with supervision. Our apartment has a garden, where they love to chase lizards, and sun bathe (Holly), or laze around in the shade (Bella).
We have a weekly cleaning lady who will visit during your stay, but we would ask you to keep the place neat and tidy, take out the rubbish, and do the recycling. We would prefer non smokers....
As we both work, the dogs are well used to being left in the apartment while you go sight seeing, but they do enjoy their daily on leash walks. + More info
