Rural beach retreat w dogs
My wife and I, both European, reside in this large beach villa on 6 acres by the coast. We are looking for a couple, who can stay put for about a month in this very quiet and remote location. We have a 20m swimming pool, large garden and orchard to potter around, a billiard room, well equipped gym, cable TV, a great kitchen and plenty of space. We have a local family of 3 (Indian Christians) looking after our home, but we need a house-sitter for our peace of mind to communicate with us while we are away as their English is limited. There is an18 hole Golf course nearby, and a long peaceful beach to walk the dogs at sunset.
Our Home & Location
Our villa is located next to the South China Sea, with it's beautiful, remote, quiet, natural sandy beach. We are surrounded by natural forest reserve. The local town is Kuala Rompin, for groceries & wine (but no pork or cheese), and the one decent Chinese restaurant. This is not a place for people who need air-con shopping malls, coffee mornings or haute cuisine. Quiet enjoyment of the tropics is what is available in abundance. Kuala Rompin is famous for it's deep-sea fishing for both sail-fish and marlin. We are near the Endau-Rompin forest reserve, one of the oldest rain forests in the world, with it's fauna/flora. The local WiFi access here is good enough for e-mails, WhatsApp, FaceTime and short videos, but it's not upto streaming of Netflix etc.
Responsibilities & Pets
Our staff will do all the basic housework and house maintenance, but they will need some guidance. They don't drive and the nearest town is 15km away so you would need to be able to use our pickup to drive them to the local market, buy diesel or take them to a clinic in an emergency. The staff feed the dogs, however the sunset walks with the dogs on the beach would be down to you, as the staff will be busy watering the garden, if it hasn't rained. They will do all they can to make your stay enjoyable.
