Fancy Westmere over Easter?
We are needing to travel to the UK to visit my husband's rather unwell mother and require someone or a couple to look after our darling dog Elvis and home while we are gone. We do love him so please only apply if you are a dog lover. It is a lovely area of Auckland to say in - very central but quiet and relaxed. You will feel like you are on holiday here.
Our Home & Location
We live on the Westmere Peninsular in a lovely quiet crescent with a completely enclosed garden. The house has 2 double bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a sunny deck that's lovely for enjoying evening meals. It's a very safe and gentle neighbourhood that's close to Jervois Rd Herne bay, Grey Lynn and Ponsonby Rd. The Zoo is a 5 min drive and local shops and cafes (including the infamous Westmere butchery) at the Meola Rd are a 5 min walk. We are approx 10-15 min drive to the central city and the same to Takapuna.
Responsibilities & Pets
Elvis is feed twice a day, once in the morning while you are having your breakfast and again in the afternoon around 3. We do have a timed feeder for the afternoon feed if you think you might be out at this time. He has a cat flap and the complete run of the garden - you just have to make sure the front garden gate is closed. He does need a short walk every day. We have a lovely coastal boardwalk just a few doors down and Cox's Bay park a short drive away. Local is fine with him and although he'll never get excited about a walk, once he's out he's very happy. He's good on the lead and in the park ok to run free as he'll aways happily have his lead put back on him. Due to his long body it's best to lift him in and out of the car and he is very happy and calm in the back seat and never plays up.
