A cute bichon poodle called Dupree and a cute bungalow near the river
We are Tony & Lynn and we share our bungalow with our much adored bichon poodle Dupree. We live in our renovated bungalow in the Hamilton East Village area of Hamilton in the Waikato region of New Zealand. Tony is an Event Manager and Lynn has an online business but also works as a nanny.
Dupree is an 11 year old wee boy with a love of walks and with a playful nature. We have pretty gardens and lots of beautiful walks close by that Dupree loves each day.
Our Home & Location
We have a 1940's bungalow which we have lovingly redecorated. Our home is on a flat section with a shared driveway. It has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. One bedroom is my office and one is a workroom. The guest bedroom has it's own private garden with french doors out onto a deck and an ensuite. The lounge, kitchen and dining room are open plan. The house is secure and fully fenced for Dupree. Its a very quiet, wide tree lined street full of restored villas and cute bungalows.
We are a 15 minute walk to the beautiful Hamilton Gardens. Hamilton East Village, a 10 minute walk away, is a vibrant community with cafes, bars, restaurants, shops and weekend markets. The river is a 15 minute walk away and offers beautiful riverside walks....
Rotorua is a 90 minute drive, as is Auckland and Tauranga. The west coast town of Raglan, recently voted NZ's prettiest beachside town is a 40 minute drive away. Cambridge is a 20 minute drive from our house and is such a charming wee village to walk and stop for an afternoon tea. Hamilton is so central and a great starting point to explore the North Island. We are happy to leave a car for sitters to use for local attractions and day trips. + More info
Responsibilities & Pets
Dupree is an 11 year old Bichon Toy Poodle cross with a lovely wee personality. He loves his walks around our neighbourhood but isn't keen on meeting other dogs on the lead after a bigger dog attacked him a few years ago. We walk him in the morning before it gets too warm for 40 minutes and again in the late day for 20 or 30 minutes. He loves lazing about in the garden and the sofa but has a playful nature and will go and choose a toy and offer it to you for playtime. He has breakfast and dinner and loves his biscuits and raw meat. He sleeps on our bed for some of the night but will go to his own bed next to our bed when told ( sneaks back up when he knows we are back to sleep!) He never has accidents inside and sleeps all night without fuss. He really is the perfect wee boy and is such a loving companion. Our gardens are well looked after by a keen gardener hubby and need no weeding or caring for. We would love our sitter to come a day early and have dinner with us and get to chat and know each other.
