Looking for loving dogsitter
My husband and I are expatriates living and working in Stavanger, Norway and are going on a two week vacation. The house we are in is rented from homeowners who live in another town in Norway. We are looking for someone/s to care for our black pug, Kenzo, and fawn pug, Lester while we are gone. Kenzo is an adopted black pug, aged 7, who is easy, doesn't bark and loves to be with people. Lester, aged 10, is spry and active and likes to play and go for walks. We live in a very spacious house in a suburb of Stavanger, close to shopping, restaurants, and easy public transportation ( bus, and taxicabs). Kenzo and Lester need to go out for a short walk three times a day, otherwise, they are happy lazing around the house and getting attention. Our home is an easy walk to downtown Stavanger, and close to lakes and hiking/biking/running trails.
Our Home & Location
We have a fully furnished, very spacious, four bedroom house in a very residential neighbourhood in Stavanger. There is a bus stop which is only minutes away, there are always cabs that can be arranged by phone. Stavanger is a very walkable city, of approximately 40,000 people, located on the southwest coast of Norway. The weather is quite temperate and there tends to be a lot of rain.
The house is built on two levels, so there are stairs from the main entrance to the living room/kitchen/bathroom level, and to the master bedroom and study on the second level. It is definitely a house that requires good mobility and stair climbing ability....
There are plenty of walking spaces close by - a lake with 3 kilometer walk around, another lake with 9 kilometer walk around, trails and bike paths all over the greater Stavanger area which make it easy to get places. + More info
Responsibilities & Pets
Take Kenzo and Lester out for a walk to do their business three times a day (morning, mid-day, and evening/before bed), feed them in the morning and in the evening, and give them some TLC during the day. They are very easy and just like to follow humans around the house. There is a door to an outside lawn area in the front of the house which can be used to get the dogs outside quickly.
