Lovable, sweet natured and playful Bichon requires someone to care for her
I am retired and live with Snowy who is one year old in a one bedroom apartment in Amanzimtoti, a coastal town that is 30km from Durban on the East Coast of South Africa. I need to know that Snowy will have a loving and caring sitter whilst I am away on holiday overseas next year. Snowy is sweet natured and being a Bichon, she loves people and other animals. Snowy can be left on her own for a few hours and a sitter would need to consider their trips so that she is not left alone for too long - she lives for company. I have factored in a day before my departure for sitters to settle in before I leave The weather in Amanzimtoti at this time of year is pleasant and without the high humidity that is experienced during the first 3-4 months of the year. Days are tranquil and pleasant.
Our Home & Location
The flatlet is upstairs, open plan kitchen (fully fitted with dishwasher, oven, stove top, kettle, fridge, separate upright freezer, microwave and so on), washing machine downstairs. The unit has one bedroom with adjoining en-suite (shower). It also has and a little balcony off the lounge. High speed wi-fi and TV are offered. The apartment is situated on the same grounds of the house in which my son and his family reside and there is a garden where Snowy plays. The beach is 1.5km from home, a large shopping centre is 12km from home and there are restaurants and shopping, cinemas and a small indoor skating rink. Sea diving/scuba at Aliwal Shoal is about 20km away - this is a known diving spot. It would be better to have a car in case you want to explore the area.
Responsibilities & Pets
Play with Snowy - she loves running in the garden and fetching toys that you throw. She also loves playing tag especially if she 'fetches' a toy and enjoys dodging you and then runs to and fro through the room and loves it if you follow and pretend to catch her.
Feed Snowy twice a day and give her a treat....
Love and cuddle Snowy - she loves and cuddles.
Walk Snowy either up and down the road or take her to a local sports ground approximately 1km from home. She LOVES this and sniffs all the trees and grasses.
Snow is high energy but adapts to your lifestyle but she does need stimulation - even if you just walk outside in the garden. + More info
