Housesitting 2 dogs and 2 cats in a house with fenced garden in full nature
Hi, I'm new to this site, and having 2 beautiful dogs and cats whom I love very much, I feel like via this website I can surely find a dog & cat & nature lover !
I'm a dutch woman spending most of the year in Andalusia, Spain. I work from home as webdesigner and complete my passion as a herbalist here in the most beautiful place between national parks, where i study medicinal and edible plants, and make my own natural skincare, balms, ointment,... and also teach these methods by giving workshops....
I go back to Belgium on a regular basis to visit my family and business related. + More info
Our Home & Location
Big house with fenced garden in remote area. Nearest towns are Algatocín, Gaucín and Cortes de la Frontera: 15min.drive by car. House accessible with normal car (i have a small vw polo). These beautiful white villages have bars, grocery stores,...
Gaucin is a very nice and bigger village. Ronda is famous as well and is about 45 min drive, very impressibe town built on a huge bridge.
Also worth to visit: Genalguacil, a real art-village!
Down the coast is Estepona, a nice little city (or big town), which has a nice beach !...
National parcs all around so for walks in nature there is plenty! Walks in/near rivers, cascades, forests,... also some famous walls like the Camino del Rey...
If you are very fit and love to walk a lot, a car is not a neccesity, except it does make it easier for groceries, getting around. + More info
Responsibilities & Pets
What i expect: to feed my animals everyday, and a walk with the dogs every day.
Just ouside the house is a beautiful walk up he mountain, where there's a spring of fresh water, and if you walk even further up the mountain, an amazing view! Nice for sunsets !
The cats are more independant so less responsibility here but they do love to cuddle as well as the dogs :) and if they need special care, a vet for example, i do expect that my animals will be taken care of (and obviously i will take these charges into account). My animals are truly gentle and in very good health so i expect no trouble at all, but i love them very much and need to be sure the are in great hands while i am away :)...
About the dogs:
Lexie, black labrador, is very gentle and loves everyone! Thus she cannot always contain her enthusiasm and tends to jump up to people when greeting them. This is the only 'problem' so i am working hard on that. Other then that, she listens well, walks on a leash and she also walks freely when we are in full nature. she loves water and playing in the river!
Trebol is still a puppy with a lot of energy! he is also very nice and not agressive, but very playful and cheecky :) He does need a bit more structure and guidance then Lexie (he is also a male and pretty dominant and needs to learn his place in this pack haha), so he stays on the leash on walks for now (he chases goats and other animals away ). But at home he relaxes well in his huge bench.
At evenings they both lay in their beds/benches and stay quiet so there is also room for quiet evenings. + More info
