Enjoy diversity on your Sweden house sitting adventure, from historical and royal charm to beautiful natural settings. Stroll through the city's fabulous old town of Gamla Stan with your furry friend as you marvel at the cobblestone streets, unique buildings and medieval vibe. If you want to enjoy green spaces, visit Kungstradgarden in Norrmalm. It is the oldest park with outdoor cafes for you to grab a bite as your pet friends play. Tantolunden urban park in Sodermalm also has a large dog park with fantastic picnic spots.
When looking after a dog in Sweden, make sure you stop by the second-largest city, Gothenburg. Check out the impressive street art and explore the best swimming spots, parks or green areas. You can hang out with pets in the park, provided they are on a leash. The Slottsskogen garden permits dogs on leash, and there is an exercise area at Majvallen where pets run around unleashed. Aside from enjoying the outdoor adventure, your pet friends can also go to cinemas at Bio Capitol, which has dog screening sessions a few times a week.
Savour the colder part of Sweden by going on a Swedish house sitting adventure in the Lapland region. The area is magical during winter, especially Kiruna, where you can catch the Northern Lights. Your furry friends can also be part of the fun activities. They can tag along for the hikes, fishing or strolling through the extensive forests and national parks. You can hike the King's Trail (Kungsleden) in the Stuor Muorkke National Park. Dogs are permitted in the national parks on a leash between January and April, and they can stroll in restricted areas in other months.
Your Swedish dog adventure is incomplete if you don't check out the rock carvings in Tanum. Your pet friends can join you as you explore the Bronze Age rock carvings. Don't forget to check the collection of carvings opposite the Vitlycke Museum. While they don't permit dogs, you can get a sneak peek of the fantastic displays as you pass by the museum. Aside from rock carvings, explore nearby sites like Litsleby or discover the short loop walk at Aspeberget and revel in the beautiful surroundings.
