Looking regularly for reliable sitters for my lovely pets!
I am a single professional who loves living in the mountains, but needs to travel on a regular basis for work. This can be for a few days to two weeks in a row. As travel is regularly I hate to put my pets in a kennel every time. I am Dutch. Came to live in Switzerland some 17 years ago.
Our Home & Location
The apartment is located in an old but fully (2017) renovated Swiss farm house on what could be called the ground floor. It is all on one level with 2 bedrooms, an office, open kitchen and a big bathroom. Its location is rather central in Kandersteg but also in a quiet and sunny location. Surrounded by the mountains it is a 5 min walk to the Oeschinensee Cable Car, 7 min walk to the railway station and 5-6 min walk to the shops. Several supermarkets within 15min drive and with a bakery, pharmacy in the village as well as little but "has everything"grocery store. Kandersteg has a good variety of restaurants and a great tearoom. There is ample space to park your car. Of course there is the option for winter sports (snow permitting) and great walks, climbs and mountaineering.
Responsibilities & Pets
Flower pots inside and outside (in summer period) need watering. In the apartment nothing special; every day up- keeping. Of course there is a dishwasher as well as a washer and dryer. I have a cleaning lady who comes once a week.
Pepper and Dickens are typical Golden Retrievers and love to please. Fairly easy in all situations. Pepper is the 2nd dog in the pack and sometimes like to try out to be alpha (in a pleasant way) when walking outside. Dickens is the pup (born mid May 2018), still exploring the world and growing rapidly but already the alpha dog in the pack. All listen well and are used to walk both on a leash and without. Both are comfortable with car drives.
The love their (minimum) 3 walks a day (morning, afternoon and evening)....
Daika is rescue cat (female) with an unknown history. She is very comfortable with the dogs, but she can be a bit grumpy to humans she doesn't really know. Not always the cuddly type, but if she accepts you this changes. She can go outside by herself, but never for a long time and loves when she can use the regular door. + More info
