Central location to explore Swiss & French cities & countrysides
First-time expat family from US would like to experience a bit a Europe; however, we are in need of a pet and house-sitter for our fur-babies, Murphy and Nati, in order to do so. Mom is a first-time stay-at-home parent/trailing spouse, following a career in community and economic development. Dad is a designer/creative at a global Fortune 500. We have two kids, ages 12 and 10. Murphy, our 5YO rescued English Setter loves his new home in Switzerland and would love to show you around - be it on the miles of farm trails adjacent to our house, or even accompanying you on a day-trip. Nati, also a rescue, is our 17YO (!) ginger tabby who loves seeking out a sunny spot and sleeping her day away.
Our Home & Location
We live in a quiet neighborhood, just minutes from the French border and conveniently located on the first motorway exit just outside of Geneva. It's a 20 minute drive from the airport, or for the more adventurous, a short 10 minute train ride to the train station + connection via bus to the stop a two-minute walk away.
It is a short 10 minute train ride in to the heart of Geneva, or 45 minutes-1 hour train ride into Lausanne or Montreux. Annecy and Chamonix (France) are also a short drive (~1 hour) or via a bus departing from the airport . Miles of scenic farm trails/roads, mountain or lake hikes, and bike rides can start right from our door.
Responsibilities & Pets
Responsibilities include feeding both pets (twice a day), daily cleaning of Nati's litterbox, and daily walks/hikes/day trips with Murphy.
