Hi There, Graeme and I have recently moved to Pattaya in the suburb of Naklua on the Gulf of Thailand. We couldn't come without our gorgeous dog Walter, but we do need some help occasionally sitting when we go for a little adventure
Our Home & Location
We're based in Naklua, not Jomtien, but for some reason the map won't accept Pattaya or Naklua-just so you know ! -a short 10 minute Baht bus ride from the centre of Pattaya and a 10 minute walk to the nearest beach. Being just out of the city centre it's got the best of both worlds-city within easy reach and quieter for everyday living. Plenty of restaurants on the doorstep too. We love it. Our Condominium is a large 1 bedroom with 2 full bathrooms and a large double bedroom. We're on the 11 floor with 2 generous balconies overlooking the bay and the Sanctuary of Truth. There's a small basic Gym and 2 swimming pools-which are just being re tiled but should be finished by October.
Responsibilities & Pets
Walter is a real people person. He needs a reasonable walk in the morning and some company throughout the day but is happy to be left for 3-4 hours after he's been out. There are some street dogs near by so there's a tactic to scaring them off, as they are very territorial and can't be trusted around domestic dogs. They're just protecting their food source in their 'hood. We walk up the road every day and are just aware when we do and shoo any off that show any interest. You can also get a grab taxi down to Pattaya seafront and walk there, again just being aware. There's also Mirabel Resort which is a short car ride away that is pet friendly and you can go and hang out with your dog by the pool and enjoy the resort for a small fee. He quite likes a cuddle, but normally on his terms- as in if he gets too hot he'll up and leave to a cooler spot. He likes 2 meals a day and will try and beg your food from you but we don't feed him from our meals- he's just a trier. Whenever you come back into the apartment he's always so excited to see you. He tends to sleep in our bedroom so he can keep an eye on everything. We have a few plants that need watering, its a low maintenance apartment
