Senior dogs looking for new friends
We're a Swedish/Dutch working couple living in Dubai, Malin works as a commercial manager and Tom has his own company. We have been living in the UAE for 3 years and recently moved to Dubai. When we moved to UAE we brought our 4 rescue dogs with us. Sadly one passed away but we still have our three seniors. We are a no children household and our dogs are therefore treated as family members and their well-being is very important to us. We have always chosen not to put them in kennels but to have petsitters in the house. As it is not always easy to find someone we trust and feel comfortable with we have over the years not been able to travel as much as we would like, as we enjoy weekend getaways as well as tropical diving holidays. We have had pet sitters with various results but found one our dogs were really happy with. Unfortunately she is leaving the country and we are now looking for someone to care for them for both short and long breaks. Our dogs are overall very easy and relaxed and very loving, they love to be around people and cuddle and finding someone who can give that in return is our priority.
Our Home & Location
We live in a 2 bedroom villa in JVT with a large enclosed garden roughly 15-30 minutes away from Dubai city depending on which area you want to visit. Fully equipped with everything that is needed and the second bedroom is converted to a home gym. There are many restaurants and supermarkets offering home delivery close by. We have a maid that comes sun-thu 4 hours a day to keep the house neat and fresh and keep the dogs company when we are at work. It is a safe and friendly area with 24/7 security.
Responsibilities & Pets
Other than watering the plants in the garden every evening there are no responsibilities for anything else but the dogs. Nelson is an 8 year old Great Dane mix of 60kgs, Elvis is an 8 year old mountain dog mix of 30kgs and Pebbles is our chubby 20 something kgs +/- 13 year old Beagle. Being seniors they tend to sleep a good amount of the day but Elvis and Nelson are walked twice a day, early morning and in the late afteroon/early evening. Pebbles is not very interested in walks, having some issues with her paws has led to her walking difficult (and being far too heavy!) Both Elvis and Nelson likes to play, indoors and outdoors, but only for short periods of time and then they go back to sleep. Pebbles is not very sociable and will only occasionally come for cuddles, whilst Nelson does like to cuddle and Elvis follows you around all the time. They have free access to the garden and the house and do as they please. They always sleep with us in the bedroom. Pebbles and Elvis are super mellow and are as easy as they come. Nelson is very protective of the house and will bark when someone approaches him. He can also be a bit unpredictable with other dogs and will chase cats if he gets the chance so it absolutely necessary that the sitter is experienced and comfortable with a dog his size and doesn't feel intimidated (he really is a big softie!). They are all in good health and no medication or special care is needed, all vaccinations are up to date and they are registered in Dubai municipality.
Everyone that meet them adore them with their gentle but slightly quirky nature :)
