Dog and cat sitting in a pretty village in the Cotswolds
We are a middle aged couple with two sons living in London. We are very sociable (trying to find photos without lots of other people in the room was tricky), Jonnie works in IT and I am a medical secretary.
Our Home & Location
We live in a four bedroomed detached house in a beautiful village just inside the Cotswolds. The village has two excellent pubs, a community shop and a lively social scene. We live in a no through road leading to the Foxcote Hills so the cars are hardly used. The surrounding countryside is breathtaking with lots of different walks. The rooms are spacious with a very large kitchen - we've had 22 for sit down supper - a family bathroom, an en suite bathroom, a study, sitting room and middle sitting room. We'd be looking to use two of the bedrooms and the family bathroom for housesitters and any rooms downstairs except the study which is my husband's office.
Responsibilities & Pets
We'd be looking for a couple without children preferably as the steps down to the garden (the terrace is now finished) are quite steep and there is an area that they could fall from. Infants would be fine. Dogs are welcome so long as they are well behaved and don't chew the furniture. They are not allowed upstairs at all and only in the middle room not the sitting room. The responsibilities would just be to feed and walk the animals. They just need feeding, loving and walking. As for the house it is easy to look after, secure and warm with lots of hot water. I'd just want it to be clean and perhaps the beds made up again when we got back as we'll be quite jet lagged.
Tiggy - the Lhasa Apso - is 17 and a bit doddery, she might not be around in September. Lara is 10 and although arthritic loves walking and will go for quite long walks, Metacam that night though! The cat is called Tilly and is nearly 2. She's got no tail and the village all know her, she was a rescue cat, loves "her" dogs and will go for a walk all the way.
