We want to find a loving person/couple to care for our adorable dog Cleo and look after our home when we travel.
We are an active retired couple and I am a sculptor. We travel frequently and always have someone looking after the house while we are away. Last year we acquired a flat coat retriever puppy and called her Cleo. She has changed our lives and and is now our priority. Flat coats are by nature happy, friendly dogs always affectionate and up for anything that's fun. We have used dog sitters before and they all fall in love with Cleo. This sit would suit a mature couple or single who loves dogs and enjoys walking and the outdoors.
Our Home & Location
We live close to some beautiful old towns which are fun to explore like Amersham and Beaconsfield. These have all the amenities you might need. Shops, cafes and restaurants. There is a local Spar and a great friendly pub in the next village and all the main supermarkets are within a ten minute drive; a John Lewis superstore and leisure centre 15 minutes away, and several golf courses. Burnham Beeches is less than ten minutes and the National Trust Cliveden House is also close by in Taplow.
Our home is situated in a small, pretty hamlet. It is a contemporary, architect designed house built 4 years ago. It is ultra modern, constructed with the environment in mind and with all mod cons....
The house faces onto fields and there is a beautiful RSPB wood at the end of the drive for dog walks.
There is a small gym ;supersize TV with Sky and Blu ray disc player and Sonos music system in the main rooms. You would have a suite of bedroom and bathroom with sliding doors opening on to a sheltered terrace. There is also a BBQ on the deck. + More info
Responsibilities & Pets
Our main priority is Cleo - we hope you would really love dogs and be prepared to treat her as we do. That said, we have a beautiful home and would expect you to respect it and leave it as you find it.
So, specifically, two walks in the woods, or nearby each day. The usual tasks of feeding her and, since she is just 15 months old you would need to be prepared to keep up her training. This can be done in our paddock attached to the house, and out walking. She travels well in the car and we don't leave her alone in the house for more than a couple of hours at a stretch....
For the house please just keep it clean and water the plants. There is also the option to do some light gardening if this interests you. + More info
