Beautiful Barn Conversion. Great walks.
Stay in our recently renovated property in beautiful Buckinghamshire and enjoy fabulous country walks (or runs) with Leila, a Saluki/German Shepherd cross. Be amused at home with our quirky cat, Squeaky. Cross-eyed, large and clumsy but very cuddly. Be warned, he always has something to say!
Our Home & Location
The house is a former cowshed built c1850 and in the Chilterns which is an area of outstanding natural beauty. Recently renovated to a high standard with 3 beds all ensuite, a large open plan living area and spacious, modern kitchen. The neighbours are few and very nice and helpful. Surrounded by stunning countryside and many options for beautiful walks from the house. 1.5 miles to nearest town and supermarket. It is definitely a perfect location to relax. Most of our petsitters don't really want to do more than walk with the dog and enjoy the comfort of our home.
It is easier to have a car if you wish to explore walks a little further afield, however there are many lovely walks from the door and it is possible to walk into the nearest town off-road within 30 minutes. There is also the option of a local taxi firm and supermarkets will delivery.
Responsibilities & Pets
Leila is an active dog and loves long walks or runs. She needs to be exercised everyday either with one long walk (1.5-2 hours), usually in the morning, or two shorter walks. She also enjoys using her brain and has a variety of "tricks" and is always happy to learn new things. She has obedience training and agility classes every week. She is a calm dog, not overly excitable. She can be nervous around groups of people or dogs and very much prefers things quiet. Very loving and affectionate and will not leave your side.
The cat, Squeaky will take all the attention you can give, loves to play and snuggles. He also enjoys a good conversation!...
Our home is a little unusual and I take great pride in it having a keen interest in interiors and design. I always make every effort to ensure the house is clean and comfortable for any guests. I would ask that the house is returned in the same condition as it is found. Like all homes it has its quirks which will be fully explained to any guests. + More info
