Cats, Geckos, Owls & Books
We are a creative family with two adult children at University. We live in a beautiful period farmhouse in a rural enclave on the outskirts of Aylesbury. Our cats are gentle loving, low maintenance, but always hungry and the geckos mind their own business as long as they are fed once in a while.
Our Home & Location
We are situated about 2 miles from Aylesbury town centre (and railway Station - 1 hour to London), where the sprawl of new Aylesbury meets rural idyll. On one side of our garden lies the stream, Dutch barn, listed watermill, rolling countryside and plenty of wildlife (owls, muntjac deer, foxes etc). The other is a new housing and industrial estate. The house is cosy, chaotic, over furnished, full of books and art, with the kitchen and bathroom in need of modernisation, but full of character. We have 4 bedrooms (one will remain locked) and 3 receptions. The garden is somewhat wild and untamed (any input most welcome!) There are plenty of local amenities (shops, restaurants, gym, golf course) within walking distance and lovely countryside walks along the River Thame valley and towards Hartwell House.
Responsibilities & Pets
Feeding Daisy and Tiger twice a day. Feed the geckos (with live crickets), about once a week.
