Loving Sitter in Chesham Needed October 3rd to October 19th 2018 - 2 Dogs
Hi, We live in Chesham in Buckinghamshire, UK, with two lovely dogs. Our semi-detached bungalow is a 10-15 minute walk from the lovely old Market town centre (with its clock tower, pedestrianized centre and lovely cafes). Our 9 year old chocolate labrador, Henry, just loves walks in the countryside outside our back gate, he has never been in kennels and I don't want him to ever have to be. He is affectionate but mischievous so watch your dinner and your shoes! Bean is our 3 year old miniture dachshund, he came to us from rescue 18 months ago, and is very loving once he knows you - but untrusting initially. Our neighbours are just devine and we hope whoever comes to stay enjoys walks in the countryside on our doorstep, and maybe an evening out at one of the many lovely local restaurants, or the local theatre. We need to feel that Henry and Bean are safe and happy in order to enjoy any family time away from them - so thank you for reading and hopefully responding.
Our Home & Location
As above, we live in a bungalow on the outskirst of the market town of Chesham, close to Amersham - and on the tube line directly into London (albeit an hour and a bit journey - it is direct!).
Our bungalow has 3 bedrooms, two bathrooms, an enclosed garden to enjoy, fully stocked kitchen and dining room and obviously cable TV and WiFi for anyone staying....
We have a local dog walker (who does not sit unfortunately), so if you are staying and want a day or so out we can happily arrange for them to cover the walking for the day.
Our house looks like most family homes, a combination of a modern kitchen and dining room, with other areas looking more lived in - because they are. + More info
Responsibilities & Pets
Henry and Bean are spoilt in many ways, and used to a routine. I mostly work from home so we stick to the routine most of the time, but do sometimes of course deviate.
-Feed the boys breakfast usually between 6.30 am and 8.30 am depending on the day....
-Henry likes a walk (Bean does not like to leave the garden) of about 45 mins to an hour.
-Feed the boys dinner usually between 3.30 pm and 5.00 pm.
It is not a complex routine, they mostly like company (but can be left for some times, I put Bean in a room alone with his mat and water etc when we are out as he is bossy and I do not like to risk any issues arising between them if we were out).
Lots of scope to do things like days out etc, as we have a local dog walker who can cover if needed, they just need someone here at nights and to feed them :) + More info
