Dog sitter needed in Bath from Friday 8th February to Sunday 10th February
Hi, we are going away from Friday 29th March to Monday 1st April, and we're not able to take our dog, Henry, with us. We'd love someone to look after him and take him for some walks around Bath while we are away! We also have a few stick insects that just need to be sprayed with water, and a crested gecko who is very easy to care for!
Our Home & Location
We live in a 3 bedroom terraced house in Bath, about 20 minute walk from the city centre. We have a small city garden backing onto the river, and we are a short walk from Victoria Park with its botanical gardens and large space for dogs to run! We live close to Chelsea Road with a selection of shops, including a bakers, spa and greengrocers, There is a lovely cafe on the corner of our street, and The Locksbrook Inn is a great local pub, just a short walk along the river! Bath is a beautiful city, with many lovely walks on the hills and surrounding countryside, including the Bath Skyline Walk, Prior Park and access to the Cotswold Way.
Responsibilities & Pets
Henry is a Jack Russell terrier cross and is five years old. He's much bigger than a Jack Russell, more like the size of a beagle, so we think he must be crossed with a much bigger dog! He has a lot of energy, and loves his walks. We give him two walks a day, about an hour each. His recall is pretty good as long as you have treats handy! He will sometimes bark at other dogs when he's on the lead, but when off the lead he enjoys playing and wrestling with dogs he meets. He will also bark at motorbikes but can usually now be distracted with a treat. He will do tricks for you! In the house he will spend his time in his bed or watching out of the window. He is rarely left for more than two hours.
Bobo the gecko well need his light turned on in the morning and off again in the evening. He will have enough food for the weekend....
We also have some stick insects who need their cage misting a couple of times a day. + More info
